Still Point Theatre Collective has created a new one-woman show, written by Jenny Magnus, that explores the journeys of Saint Teresa of Avila and Saint Edith Stein. We have chosen to combine these two women in one theatrical production for many reasons, but primarily because Teresa had such a profound impact on Edith, and her autobiography led to Edith's conversion.
We've also been drawn to this project because, in this increasingly polarized world, we feel the need to inspire our audiences to model the deeply contemplative lives that these two women lived and exemplified.
Through this production, among other objectives, we want to show the power of lineage and the impact our faith can have on the faith of others.
The play is one hour long, and is performed by Lisa Wagner-Carollo, who has also toured the acclaimed Haunted by God: The Life of Dorothy Day for three decades. The play is directed by Virginia Smith, who also directed Haunted by God.

To Pray Marvelously Well: The Spiritual Friendship of St. Edith Stein and St. Theresa of Avila can be booked for a special, invitation-only performance in your home, providing that you have a room large enough! These intimate shows are a fun and innovative way to support Still Point. To present the play in your home, you must have a large living room and be able to host at least 10 guests for the audience. Still Point staff will transform your living room into a performance space, including a back drop and lighting. After presenting this acclaimed one woman show, Still Point Founder/Artistic Director Lisa Wagner-Carollo will give a short talk about the organization and collect donations to support our work. The guests/audience members must understand that the performance is a fundraiser for Still Point.
