Lisa Biggs

Lisa Biggs is a performance studies scholar, actor, and playwright originally from the South Side of Chicago. Her award-winning book, The Healing Stage: Black Women, Incarceration, and the Art of Transformation (2022), investigates theatre programs for incarcerated women as healing work. She currently serves as an assistant professor at Brown University.
