Still Point Theatre Collective is a dynamic community of Chicago artists who use theater to educate, inspire, and encourage community engagement. Through performances, workshops, retreats, and community events we raise consciousness on issues of peace and justice, and celebrate the beauty and resilience of the human spirit.
Since 1993, we have used theater-making to amplify hard-to-hear voices at society's margins, including prison inmates and former inmates, adults with developmental disabilities, and alumni of the state child welfare system.
Still Point artists believe that creative expression is a natural and vital part of any healthy society. This is why we strive to make our professional performances accessible to diverse audiences, and it is also why we are deeply invested in our outreach programs. We have observed time and again the powerful synergy that can happen when groups of people are engaged in writing, reflecting, sharing, and forging thoughts and feelings into artistic works.
