Welcome to Still Point!

Still Point Theatre Collective is a community of Chicago artists who use theater to educate, inspire, and challenge our communities to action. Through performances, workshops, retreats, and community events we celebrate our common spirituality, and raise consciousness on issues of peace and justice.

Since 1993, we have used theater-making to amplify hard-to-hear voices at society's margins, including prison inmates and former inmates, adults with developmental disabilities, and alumni of the state child welfare system.

The women of Lake County Jail had a performance on 12/16/11 and it was a joy. Millie, the aforementioned actress from my blog entry on 12/13, was superb and has taken a shine to the stage.

I asked her for permission to share some of her ideas with you. She obliged my request and I couldn't be happier.
