Strong Connections
performed by The Unheard

Directed by Annalise Raziq, with Kamaran Madison and Jacob Kaufman

What's Being in Foster Care Really Like?

Find out from the youth themselves.

The Unheard is a group of young adults who are alumni of the Illinois child welfare system. Their first production is a 45-minute play that they wrote and perform themselves. In it, they relate their life stories and the personal impact of their journey through foster care. They emphasize their struggle to find and maintain meaningful personal connections along the way.

The suggested donation for tickets is $10. You can purchase them online via the Adoptions Unlimited website – just click on the “Tickets” link on the home page. Ticket availability is limited, so purchase yours soon. If you have questions, please call Margaret Burke at Adoptions Unlimited at 312-462-7249 or email info@adoptionsunlimitedinc.org

The performance will be followed by a question-and-answer time, as well as a reception. This performance will be in memory of Rose Love, who worked in adoptions throughout her life at the Illinois Dept. of Children and Family Services and at Adoptions Unlimited.
